The Independence war in Montserrat

In 1810 Montserrat was converted in a fortress that they had to defend in front of a possible French attack. The soldiers occupied the monastery's dependencies.
July 25th of 1812 the Frenchs defeated the square in few hours, destroying it before to leave in October.
A few months later, an explosion of big quantities of gunpowder, destreyed the little rests left.
